A good visual identity is one of a brands most important elements to be recognized across the board. But that also means, that theres many applications to be concidered that have to be shaped in a corporate way.
The pattern is based on the DIN A ratio (1,414).
The colours were picked to ressemble a surfer inside a wave.
As an example I made up the fictive surfing brand Curl Surf. The Logo resulted from a pattern consisting of Rectangles and circles that are scaled based on a 1,414 ratio, also known as the DIN A format. Colours and fonts were defined in a way to represent the feeling of a modern brand associated with surfing.
Now, theres more to it than just scaling a logo to make it fit to different applications. To still be recognizable at certain sizes some detail work has to be done.
